Sparta Rotterdam plays its home games at the iconic ‘’t Kasteel’, which is Dutch for castle. Despite the medieval look, the stadium is equipped with the latest technologies, including 2 video walls on both sides of the roof. The stadium offers space for just over 11,000 spectators. Which are, according to research of the Dutch football association (KNVB), very satisfied with the atmosphere at their club. In 2016 Sparta Rotterdam won the KNVB fan awards, more than 98 percent of the fans rated a visit to the matches 'good' or 'very good'.
To improve the soccer atmosphere even more, Sparta has now introduced FOTM. Initially FOTM was used before home games, but recently FOTM has become part of the show in the half-time break. For Sparta, FOTM exists of 8 multiple-choice questions, with each three-answer possibilities. Participants have a change of winning a signed shirt and other great Sparta prizes.
Sparta Rotterdam is also the first club that has offered FOTM as a sponsor module to their business partners. Centric, main sponsor of Sparta Rotterdam, has adopted the quiz and their logo is now shown on all screens, both mobile and videowall, of the tool.
